The city of Kigali has reported that there are persons who ran from an apartment in the Nyabugogo district when they saw Rwandan President Paul Kagame pass by to greet them.

It was an accident that occurred on the evening of Friday, February 12th, in the Nyabugogo region of Kigali, when many citizens wanted  to meet President Paul Kagame, who went by to greet them. According to the announcement made by the administration of the City of Kigali, “the City of Kigali learned the sad story of the people  who had an accident when they fell off the floor due to fight while they were enjoying watching the Head of State passing by and greeting the people in Nyabugogo area, Nyarugenge District.”

According to the statement, “12 people were injured in the accident, including four women and eight men.” Two of the patients are seriously unwell and are being treated at CHUK Hospital. Kigali concludes by expressing that it is still concerned about the persons who were hurt in the disaster and has suffered for them and  their families. This accident occurred while President Paul Kagame was leaving Rubavu District to inspect the damage caused by the disaster and  console some of those impacted by it.
